The Signature is a pioneering 24 000m2 mixed-use development project in Mauritius, comprising 95 apartments, ground floor retail space, offices and a basement with parking and service areas. Located within the Mont Choisy smart city, which is in Grand Baie, The Signature is the first significant contribution to the area’s long-term development aspirations as a mixed-use destination of choice for visitors and residents alike.
Designed for Mont Choisy Group, the project combines the expertise of dhk Architects and dhk Interior Design (dhki). The client’s aspirational brief was to establish an iconic design that reflects the overarching vision for the Mont Choisy Boulevard. The challenge was to design a building of dramatic presence in a prominent position without detracting from future neighbouring developments, while also balancing the need to acknowledge Mont Choisy’s layered heritage. The result is an elegant building design with slender edges, soft curves and gentle lines, and a striking destination that brings people together to live, work, play, explore and shop.
The contemporary interior spaces, conceptualised by dhki, reflect the convergence of luxury and lifestyle that mark the exacting standards of this high-end development.
